My prayer is with you in your time of mourning. I have such fond memories of Joan from our English class at West Catholic in 1956. (We ran our own writing project on the side when things became dull).Another fond memory is from our 50th reunion when we shared our Paris connections.(I visit my niece almost yearly there).

Please know Joan's goodness lives on.

Mrs.McNichol, Anytime we spoke, you always made me feel like I was the only person in the world. You made me feel so special. I treasure that. Thank you for always buying something from my Christmas kit even though 10 other kids had already been at your door. You must have had an extensive wooden spoon collection! Thank you for having the biggest candy bars in the whole neighborhood at Halloween. Even when I brought my son trick or treating years later, you were still doing that. You left this place better than you found it & made everything more beautiful when you shined your light on it. What an extraordinary lady. Grace and peace to you.

My empathy and sympathy on the passing of your Mother and Grandmother. Know that I loved how Joan made you feel at home. No matter how busy she may have been, Joan always made the time to talk to me, to ask me about my family, and she always treated me just like family whenever I visited with her. Joan inspired me with her great faith, and the power of her prayers. Her spirit and determination regardless of any health problems to be there for your Dad and her family, left me in awe of her. Her living example of her love and living for her family, made me often reflect and strive myself to be a better son, husband and father. I pray for all of God's many blessings and His grace on you and your entire family today, and in the days ahead. ... Peace be with you, all.
