Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Nancy by adding your memories and photos.

Nancy Ross Vecchione, age 64, of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 6, 2018. Nancy was the beloved wife of William J. Vecchione; dear mother of Katherine "Kate" Vecchione and Carolyn "Carly" Fiorelli (David); loving daughter of Jane Wickham Ross and the late Arnold Carl Ross, Jr.; sister of Linda Ross Sexton, Arnold "Buck" Ross, and David Ross (Susan); dear aunt to Elizabeth Watkins, Anne Fox, Jennifer Wagner, and Michael and Benjamin Ross.

Nancy graduated from Lenape High School in Medford, New Jersey, in 1975 and received an associate's degree from Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, in 1974.

Nancy loved and cherished her family. She was also an exceptionally hard worker, and she loved her work with premature infants at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. She enjoyed reading books, working on her computer, and going to school.

Relatives and friends are invited to offer condolences to the family on Friday evening, January 12, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, and to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, January 13, at 11:00 AM at Grace Bible Fellowship, 723 South Providence Road in Wallingford. Friends may arrive at the Church after 10:00 AM. The interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the ARC of Delaware County, 750 South Chester Road, Suite G, Swarthmore, PA 19081 or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 100 N. 20th Street, Suite 405, Philadelphia, PA 19103.

Condolence & Memory Journal

So very sad to hear about Nancy's passing. As a friend from Philly Social Media Moms i had the pleasure of enjoying Nancy's company and her sense of humor. She always had a kind and supportive word and loved talking about weddings. I feel privileged to have known her.

I knew Nancy through a few women's blogging groups in Philadelphia. She was a kind woman who always had a smile on her face. She was always eager to learn and we welcomed her at several events. Please accept my condolences and prayers for peace.

Dear Aunt Jane, Linda, Buck, David, Bill, Kate, and Carly,
I am so very sorry for your loss!! Nancy and I haven't been close in recent years but I have wonderful memories of our childhood. I especially remember the summers on the lake and learning to canoe with her and Linda and the times I spent at the family home in Medford lakes. I will miss her but I know she will always be in my heart
