Condolence & Memory Journal

Father Gormley was a big part of my Christian life. I attended Mother of Divine Providence school and Archbishop Carroll (Class of '84). Fr. GormIey was such a gentle giant, just being in his presence was calming. I can remember each time report cards were distributed at Carroll, Fr. Gormley would personally come to school and distribute report cards to MDP parish students. He would take the time to briefly review each student's grades and was always encouraging us to keep doing our best ! He was also the priest at our wedding. Fr. Gormley, your life was a tremendous example of service to both our Lord and the parishoners at MDP. Thank you and Rest in Peace

Back in the 80's and 90's people would pack the pews at MDP because of Father Gormley and his spiritual presence. I have personally witnessed him give hope to the hopeless, and strength to the weak living in faith. He was always humble and worked hard to bring others close to the Lord, asking for nothing in return. His life was a life well lived and full of abundance. May you RIP Charlie.
