Karen: You brightened up the front office during your years as the Receptionist at Portnoff Law (2003-2014). It was always a pleasure to have you greet our employees and our guests - you were always the perfect hostess! You battled cancer so gallantly and w were an inspiration to all. Your memory will live on in our hearts. Rest in peace. (Marva Scotland HR)

Thank you Karen for being an amazing and THE best grandmother to our son. You have been there for Alex since day one. It was obvious how much you loved him, and he loves you just the same. He will miss you deeply.

Karen and I worked together at Chilton, and she was always so kind to me. Before I started driving, she would be my ride home any shift we worked together, and later, when I moved to a new job and had my own transportation, I paid that forward, always thinking of her kindness. I can't help but think that was the imprint she left on every life she touched. She faced life with humility, fortitude, humor, but most of all, kindness.

Mama, Thank you for instilling all that made you who you are in me. You showed me how beautiful nature was and your gardens had people stop to admire them. Your garden was the first time I ever saw a hummingbird and it was glorious! My heart and soul miss you terribly, your my mama and I love you so very much.

If I could show you all the joy
If you could look into your eyes like I do
I'd love to take you down toward the water when you are dry
And if you have a little time
I'll spend the next lifetime by your side
I've learned to understand there's more to this world
than the morning and the sky

It's very hard to sit and watch you now
It's very hard to know you're on your own
It's very hard to move through unfamiliar worlds I've never known
It's not enough to make some sense of it
It's not enough to even comprehend
It's not about the life we've left behind
or the life that leaves us spinning in the end

If I could see you through the night
If I could help you see yourself like I do
I'd find a way to lift your courage higher
Like you lift mine
And I'd have something more to say then what I've said a thousand other times
I'd tell you there's a new train running
And the balance keeps us both alive

Oh,but it dawned on me at four o'clock this morning
That through all the waiting you're just now arriving
The life you're living is just now beginning
