Dr. Anthony L. "Tony" Tumolo, age 87, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on March 7, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Louis and Jenny Tumolo (nee Finocchiaro).

Dr. Tumolo received his Ph.D from the University of Pennsylvania. Tony was also a proud alumnus of Saint Joseph's University, class of 1952 He was employed as a Chemistry Professor at Camden County Community College. Dr. Tumolo was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia. Tony was a longtime Havertown PA resident. He was very active in township civic affairs. He was the founder and director of the Manoa Community Library. Tony worked tirelessly in order to make that dream happen. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren at his homes in North Wildwood and North Ft. Myers Fl. In his later years, he spent most of his time in Florida in order to pursue his passion for golf.

Tony was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jeanette M. Tumolo (nee Kearns). He is survived by his loving children Dennis Tumolo (Fran), Anthony Tumolo (Jane), Joseph Tumolo (Liz), Barbara Sullivan (Nile) and Jeanette Millison (Craig), his siblings Joseph Tumolo (Francine) and Rita Szczurek (William), and his 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday, March 13, 2018 9:30 AM-11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home , 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.

Great Guy. I spent a lot of time in his Havertown basement with Joe. He was always stopping down and asking how we were. Will be missed.
