Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Jason by adding your memories and photos.

Jason P. Reyer, 45, of Garnet Valley, PA and formerly of Havertown, PA passed away on March 14, 2018 after his courageous battle with lung cancer for the last 8 months. He never lost the will to live.

Born in Darby, PA in 1973, Jason was the son of Gail E. (Vedetto) Reyer and the late John E. Reyer.

Jason was the loving brother of Angela Gillespie (Jim); Uncle of Jimi, Eva and Vincent; dear nephew of John Buccilli (Daria); and cousin of Michael Buccilli.

Jason loved building models and then enhancing everything about them. He was very artistic and creative, always wanting to embrace the kid inside himself. He enjoyed collecting movie props and was an avid Star Wars and Star Trek fan.

Jason loved spending time with his family, especially his niece and nephews. He adored his cat and was fond of rescue animals.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, March 18, 2018 and 10:00-11:00 AM Monday, March 19, 2018 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300, followed by his Funeral Service 11:00 AM. Jason was one of the kindest souls I have ever met. We didn't talk much after high school but I never forgot his kind, creative, and loyal spirit. The love he had for his nieces and nephews shines in the posted photos. I am so sorry for your family's loss. The world lost a very good person.

Said Goodbye to one of the truest human beings I have ever met. They don't make em like Jason very often. Such a wonderful person all around. Angela-you, Jim, the kids and Gail are in my thoughts. I love you all.

Angela and family so sorry for your loss. Jason was a kind and pleasant person to work with at Child Guidance Resource Centers. I remember him selling Girl Scout cookies for his niece and thinking not many uncles would do that. Wishing you comfort during this sorrowful time.

Jay became my first friend after I moved to the USA in 7th grade. We were close friends and always kept in touch. The Star Wars background on this page is so incredibly appropriate for me, since we had a spirited debate about The Last Jedi, during our last conversation. What do you say regarding the loss of someone you have been close to for so long? There will definitely be a huge hole in my life. Angela, thank you so much for your incredible sacrifice in caring for Jay. To those he spoke to in his last days, he made his appreciation known. Jay, I will miss you a lot brother, rest in peace.

Jason was very friendly. I assembled our picnic benches at the Meson Drexel Hill program last summer. The entire staff of Meson Drexel Hill extend our heartfelt sympathy to his family. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
