We will always remember the good (and there was a lot of it) and the dry sense of humor that Slim possessed. Ayron has told the story over and over of the 'crew' all being at an auction in Chicago back in the early 90's. It was cold and deep puddles of slushy snow filled the parking lot. Paul had a new pair of boots on, and Ayron said he walked through one of those puddles and said in that deep barotone voice, "These boots leak." He never changed expressions, never changed stride, just kept his eyes straight forward. It was not WHAT he said, but how he said it that made it so funny. He had a knack for that.
"Don't be sissy boy" was one of his old lines.
And remember the day he told Art Morrow to stick out his arms and the snake that he was afraid of would not swallow him.
There was no one better to fix electrical problems with a vehicle, and he was a great body man. He was a hard worker.
I've prayed many times for him as I go by his house, hoping he would find peace and be blessed. I guess he has both today.
Praying for the rest of you; I know there is a hole in your heart today.

I am so sorry for ur loss. I will always remember Paul in my heart, as a part of my family, a good friend, a very hard workerr and so funny. I'll always remember what all he done for my parents. Being such a good friend to my Dad after Mom died, letting him come out to hang out when he got lonely. All the talks about life...good and bad sometimes for hours. I'm going to miss him a lot.

My deepest sypathy to your family. Paul had a good heart and quick wit. I loved his sarcastic humor and "under his breath" comments. He was always making us laugh.
One memory that stands out was he was always late for the school bus every morning. He was always running out of the house half dressed. His shirt and shoes were in hand, but NEVER any socks! (I think John was running right there behind him!) By the time he arrived at school, he was always put together.
May the memories of Paul and the happy times you've shared be a source of light and comfort for you now. With love and sympathy,

I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Paul in my high school English classes as polite and smart but a rather reluctant scholar. He preferred to sit at the back of the classroom so he could observe everyone and absorb everything on the periphery,of the action, so to speak. He usually had a twinkle in his eye and a slow, easy smile. He was well-liked by his peers and the faculty; he will be missed by all who knew him back then. Please know that I deeply regret Paul's passing.
